David S. Elliott, Sr., Ph.D.

David founded Virginia Analytics after a 15-year career as a CFO and financial controller for large corporations and non-profit organizations. He served as CFO for the world’s largest private sector port, as well as for multinational corporations, warehousing companies, and domestic rail and trucking firms, where he managed budgets, financial reporting, and operational processes. David also held positions as CFO and controller for multiple 501(c) organizations, ensuring their financial stability and compliance with regulations. With more than a decade of experience in regulatory compliance, he wrote his Ph.D. dissertation at Clemson University on regulatory focus theory.  In addition to a Ph.D., he holds four other graduate degrees. David is a former United States Marine Corps officer and served in Afghanistan and Iraq.
